Single Phase Motors
Single Phase Motors are offered in both ‘Capacitor Start’ and ‘Capacitor Start Capacitor Run’ types.
The easiest way to find out which you need it to check the number of capacitors in the terminal box.
The capacitor is charged to provide an initial boost to get the motor started but is not required during operation, this style is generally considered for Fans, Blowers and Centrifugal pumps. The operations they carry out have a level of inertia that supports the motor in in its work.
Capacitor Start Capacitor Run
The capacitor is charged to provide an initial boost to get the motor started, and once running the continued charging and releasing of current by the capacitor continues to boost the motors operation. This style is necessary particularly for conveyor applications where the system is likely to stall under the standard operation of the motor without such boosting.
We offer next day delivery on both types up to around 4KW.
Foot, Flange or both mountings are available from stock, and a choice or 2pole (3000rpm) or 4pole (1500rpm) is available across the range.
